1970 MG Midget  GAN5UA86136G

WHY DID I BUY THIS!  why!  why!  why!  why!  why!  why!   why!  why!  ..........

Well here she is the first day home. The pics at right will open in this window. She's a 1970 Mg Midget. She's actually in reasonable shape considering how long she has been sitting.

To the best of my knowledge, she has not been legally on the road since 1993. She was owned by a pilot, who had sold it back to the shop that did most of the work on it. (Where I bought it from). Over the last four years, it's had the brakes rebuilt (including new flex lines, visible in the shots from under the front end), the engine has had new seals(??) installed and a new head gasket. New plugs, and the carbs cleaned up.

It has major rust on the lower edges of the front wings (fenders) but is limited to the wings only. The underpan and suspension are in excellent shape. Just covered in a lot of 'age' and exposure (looks like a couple of wire wheels will get worn out on this one) The interior can really use a good cleaning, but is almost useable as is, minus the seat covering rips. Even the spare is in good shape.
