Well they've been through all the usual rip down, clean up and initial bench adjustments.

Hey... it's raining outside. ....Where's that buffing wheel.

Well they were disassembled, and piece by piece.. buffed with a 6" wheel and a stick of red rouge. White would make 'em glisten. But I don't want to have to maintain that high a polish all the time.

The black cloth fuel line got a light coat of silver paint as well

The manifold polished up pretty well as well. Actually I first used a rather fine, copper wire wheel in my drill to really clean and buff them up. Then a light rouge buff, and viola!.

Honestly, the dashpots each took about 10 minutes. The float bowls... maybe 15.

The manifold wire wheel deal probably took about 20 minutes to really do right.

Even the distributor body cleaned up well with this technique.

Both dist. and manifold cleaned up nice

you can take a look at how I learned to do this all so quickly.
That page also has references to a great source of literature
on buffing techniques, plating kits, and the like.
