     Building a Reliable Spitfire
            Engine for High Performance v1.45

The contents of this guide were written by Calum E. Douglas. Like many of us, he spent countless hours pouring through the reams of literature available in books, magazines, and scattered amoung hundreds of web pages written by other enthusiasts like you and I.  I've been informed, this is still a work in process. So stay tuned for additions and updates.

The context of this guide, is the result of his extensive research of all matters pertaining to the operation, performance enhancement, and build up of a Triumph Spitfire engine.

His sources are listed in the Bibliography of this document, for further reference by all those interested in further reading.

My initial reaction to Calum's contact, which came in the form of an email to the webmaster of Teglerizer's web site, was one of surprise. His initial comments were of praise for the content of the site regarding Triumph Spitfires. His included offer, I suppose, resolved two things. He wanted to share this research, and needed a distribution point.    So here it is.

The Layout of this guide, has been 'Teglerized'. The original 150K text only html file, has been broken up into multiple pages to speed up browser loading. The printed layout of the document was re-formatted for presentation here, and a few java scripts added as navigational aides. The infomation contained herein is 100% Calum's. Teglerizer takes no responsibility or liability for the contents, we are strictly by request, the presentation medium.

The Navigation Menu should make it easy to find the sections you want to get back to. The overall content of the of the information (sequence and detail) is as it was delivered to me. Calum's Forward is a good place to start before you go any further. The full table of contents was added by Teglerizer, allowing you to jump directly to the desired content. Each page has a 'section' level menu at the top of the page. The buttons at the bottom of each page will take you to the previous or next sequential section of the document as written by Calum. The Table of Contents link should be self descriptive.

   Enjoy!               Table of contents          nextnext
