A recent backup copy corrupted this page and all the
original info was lost. I've been able to find copies of
some of the images but lost all the original text details
of the swap. So at least for now you can view the few
photos I was able to find.

Well after much searching I was able to find a bunch (but not all) of the original photos from the
engine swap between YB and OB. What I was able to find is now here, minus all the text descriptions
of the trials and tribulations of installing MGB engines. The original swap took place back in 1998,
primarily because YB had the an overdrive transmission and the engine had been tweaked just a bit.

The original compartment as purchased was all
flat black and a mess as far as wiring was
concerned. The air pump was frozen, the rubber
oil cooler lines were showing signs of age.

After the swap. The entire engine compartment was repainted while the engines were out. The stainless steel braided oil lines as well as thealuminum valve cover came from YB. Those are also brand new AUD405 HS4's behind the K&N MG logo'ed filter plate.

YB after the swap with not much left
to get her running again as well.

The block back in OBie. Just waiting for the ancillaries, radiator and etc.

All Done...all shined up including the polished carbs and valve cover.
I use brass and copper piping for all the carb plumbing. I think
It looks a lot cleaner without all the rubber hoses.

                editing still in process....
